Can I Reactivate a Terminated Account?

Overview

If your LiveAgent account has been terminated, it cannot be reactivated. Once an account is terminated, it is permanently removed from our servers and cannot be restored.

What Happens to My Data?

When an account is terminated, all data associated with the account—including conversations, contacts, tickets, settings, and configuration—is permanently deleted from our servers. This deletion is irreversible.

Account Suspension vs. Termination

It is important to understand the difference between account suspension and termination:

  • Account Suspension: If your account becomes inactive for 90 days, it will be automatically suspended. A suspended account temporarily disables all services but the account and data are not yet deleted.
  • Account Termination: If a suspended account remains inactive for an additional 30 days (120 days total of inactivity), the account will be permanently terminated and all data will be permanently removed.

Notifications About Account Status

LiveAgent provides notifications upfront about the upcoming end of validity and suspension of your account. These notifications are sent to alert you before your account reaches suspension or termination status. However, once an account has been terminated, it is not possible to restore it.

What Should I Do?

If your account has been terminated and you wish to continue using LiveAgent, you have the following option:

  • Start a New Trial Account: You can create a new trial account at liveagent.com/trial to begin fresh with LiveAgent.

How to Prevent Account Termination

To prevent your account from being suspended or terminated due to inactivity:

  • Log in to your account regularly
  • Maintain an active subscription
  • Contact LiveAgent support if you need to pause your account temporarily rather than letting it become inactive
