Overview
If your business is closing or you no longer need LiveAgent, you can cancel your account at any time by stopping its billing through the My Account section. Your account will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which it will be suspended and eventually deleted.
How to Cancel Your Account
- Log in to your LiveAgent agent panel.
- Click the heart icon located in the bottom left corner of the agent panel menu to access the My Account section.
- In the My Account section, locate the option to Stop Account (stop billing).
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the cancellation.

What Happens After Cancellation
- Your account will remain active until the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again after stopping billing.
- Once the billing period ends, your account will be suspended.
- Suspended accounts are typically deleted from servers after 3 months of suspension.
Exporting or Archiving Your Data Before Deletion
If you need to preserve your data (tickets, contacts, conversations) before your account is deleted, you have two options:
- LiveAgent API: Use the LiveAgent API to programmatically retrieve and export your data. This is best suited for technical users or developers. Refer to the LiveAgent API documentation for available endpoints.
- Database Dump Request: Contact LiveAgent support to request a complete database dump of your account data. This is ideal if you need a full backup without technical setup.
Data export or archive requests should be made before your account is fully deleted. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered.
