How to Check Agent Login History

This article explains how to view and monitor the login history of your support agents using the Audit Log feature in **LiveAgent**.

Overview

The Audit Log feature provides a comprehensive record of activities performed within your **LiveAgent** system, including agent login and logout events. This allows managers and administrators to monitor agent access for security, compliance, and management purposes.

Prerequisites

  • **Administrator** or **manager access** to your **LiveAgent** account
  • The Audit Log plugin must be activated in your system

Enabling the Audit Log Plugin

Before you can view login history, you must first activate the Audit Log plugin:

  1. Log in to your **LiveAgent** account as an administrator.
  2. Navigate to Configuration > System > Plugins.
  3. Locate the Audit Log plugin in the list.
  4. Click the Activate button to enable the plugin.
  5. Wait for the activation to complete.

Accessing Agent Login History

Once the Audit Log plugin is activated, you can access the login history through the Audit Log feature:

  1. Navigate to the Audit Log section in your **LiveAgent** dashboard.
  2. Use the available filters to search for login-related activities.
  3. You can filter by **agent name**, **date range**, or **activity type** to find specific login records.
  4. Review the detailed log entries, which will show **login times**, **logout times**, and other relevant information.

What Information is Recorded

The Audit Log captures the following information for agent logins:

  • **Agent name or username**
  • **Login timestamp**
  • **Logout timestamp**
  • **IP address** (if available)
  • **Session duration**

Troubleshooting
